Hi all, this is my first Review  I didn't write too much as i am inexperienced.
Image
INTRODUCTION
Hammerli AR 20 PRO is a very light air rifle with everything adjustable made by Carl Walther (Germany). It is the perfect choice for the beginners in competition shooting.Specially for youngsters. Its a well known complicated match air rifle made with modern techniques and modern technology. It is only designed for 10 Meter air rifle match. For me its biggest advantage is its light weight and quick reloading which saves a lot of time in competition.
It has:
• 300 bar compressed air system
• Aluminum stock with a wide range of settings
• Ambidextrous receiver and stock
• Variable stock length, cheek piece height and fore-end height
• T-rail for three-position competitions
• Adjustable butt plate
• Ambidextrous cocking piece with release lever
• Wide loading recess with precision feed
• Lothar Walther match barrel
• WALTHER aluminum cylinder with pressure gauge
• Basic weight less than 4,000 g
• Includes sight and accessories

Sights
Hammerli AR20 PRO has Walther’s basic competition sights (Match-Diopter and standard foresight holder) whereas normal AR20 has (walther) basic air rifle sights (Basic diopter and standard foresight holder) and this is the only difference between these two rifles. These sights are extremely accurate if used correctly. It takes a bit time to get used to it.

Cylinder
Image
The cylinder of the air gun is good for about 200 shots after this it is to be refilled. This is quite troublesome at time. Thanks to uncle THI who designed and made a pressure air pump for me. It is much easy to fill the cylinder now.

Trigger
It has a very very light and smooth (two stage) trigger and can be hardened accordingly.
Image

Target
I took 10 shots from 10 meters with the help of rest using RWS R 10 Mach Premium line pellets.

Image

I have practice for 10 M air rifle match with this rifle. I am not very good at it so far because it is difficult shooting. I find it many time more difficult than shooting with pistol from 25 m.
Image
The target in 10 m air rifle is only 0.9 inch diameter which means whole target is smaller than the bull of standard pistol target which is 1" in dia. In this target, bull is only a small dot. I shot these targets from standing position without any support making proper match position but I was not wearing the kit. With proper kit or even if I have only a shooting jacket, I think I can shoot much better but I will have to practice a lot.

Image
Another target shot from 10 M standing.

As you can see the difference in firing from rest and firing from standing postion, I think this gun is very very accurate but I have to practice a lot with it to achieve good standard.

Excellent review. It is a beautiful airgun. Did you shot this air rifle otherwise also, ie, not from the rest. What is the position in which this rigle is shot in competition? I think it is standing position. Did you shot any target from that position.

Once again, very good effort. :text-bravo:

This is not a bad first review at all. Keep it up.

You can include some of you practice targets in the review and give details of shooting technique that you follow. Just include it in the target shooting portion of the review. :)

Nice review Haider.
This is still a heavy rifle at about 4kgs! Would like to see your shooting results more frequently, as well as more feedback on this after few months of shooting..

This is a very light target air rifle because it is junior model. It has smaller cylinder. Proper target air rifles are between 5.5 to 6.5 kg. :ugeek:

Actually I advised you guys that if ever a kid like Haider invites you to shoot from 10 M with a match air rifle on a less than 1" target with a bull as big as a dot.......... politely decline the offer. Just give him a few advises on how to improve his shooting skills and than suddenly, be reminded of an urgent piece of work..... and leave. This is what I do

Indeed, it is. Noting that Haider is still in his teens, I am sure this review is at the top level when it comes to what we have here, and better than quite a few here. We look forward to more from Haider.

Thanks Haider95. But this is not a comfertable position. "Chuk" par sakti hai

Just joking. But I think if one do not practice, it is difficult to shoot like this. Why the dont stand straight so that balance is good

Because they want their left elbow resting for stability while aiming! ;)

It seems an uncomfortable position but when one stands correctly it feels so pleasant that one does not get tired. :character-oldtimer: this is what i think.

I think that's one of the aims of this position! The left arm is supporting the rifle and in turn the hip is supporting the elbow, a stable stand/rest, of sorts! ;)

@Hamdan Ahmad
Brother its a competition gun and most competition guns are between 350-500 ft / sec. This (fps) terminology is however irrelevant for target guns because they are meant for accuracy only. Everything in a competition air rifle is designed to achieve maximum accuracy and nothing else. Muzzle velocity is more relevant in hunting guns where one needs power.

I am not sure about the availability of this gun in Pakistan. Heard few were sold in around 110-125 k. In USA it costs around 1200-1300 $ (the scoped model is much cheaper as the match diopter sight alone costs around 250 $).

Do you still practice with air rifle or you only practice with air pistol now. I did not see any targets of air rifle in your shooting thread. :)
