The only 16 bore shotguns that you will get are the English SxS.. and probably one or two companies in Spain AYA. This is a find/ search and very arduous thing, give specifications of what exactly are you looking for.

I do not know how it is around the world.
But the 16 ga. shotgun is not a Common caliber like it was 100 years ago.

Over here, 16 ga. ammunition is not that common, and thus more expensive.
May I ask?
Why a 16 ga. ?

Here we have only one manufacturer ELEY that has local 16 ga. cartridges the others are rottweil brand about 1.50 dollar a piece and that too available with about a handful of people around the country.
When I shot a DBBL SxS 16 ga by Webley & Scott it was the SAME recoil.
so as LAGS rightly pointed .. WHY 16 ga??

In my day, I have passed up purchasing several shotguns, just because they were 16 gage

I intended to use them for a lot of hunting and target shooting, so ammo cost and availability was a big factor why I didn't buy the gun.
But I must say, the first shotgun I EVER shot was a 16 gage single shot.
I have owned several 16 gages, but they were because they were Fancy and I didn't intend to shoot them much.

The Kick on a 16 gage is not that much Less than a 12 ga or that much more than a 20 ga.
But the selection of LOADS in the shot and weight you need, is much less in the 16 ga. not to mention sometimes finding shells at all.

But, the Plus side is.
Since Ammo is not that common anymore, and a little more expensive,
You can use those factors to Bargan for a VERY GOOD price on a nice 16 Gage shotgun.

WELL actually that is just opposite here, People know that ammo is harder to get and that too costly so anyone asking for 16 ga, is someone who is desperate for a 16 ga for his own satisfaction, other wise he would never have bought this thing.. so they ask about double the price and stick to it.
I have seen guns in 1994 sell at meager 180 Dollars for high end Cogswell & Harrison English SxS DBBL in sidelock in immaculate condition. Now lastly the SAME gun is selling for 4000 dollars after almost 20 years. THAT is only because 16 ga ammo is scarce and people know who ever makes this choice is capable to pay MORE as he will pay MORE to get the 16 ga ammo.

BEST option is get a 12 GA, SxS DBBL in Webley and Scott or other good Brands of English guns, if you want there is a good assortment of Beretta O/U available as well. WELL worth the price.

Major manufacturers make limited production runs of 16 gauge guns every few years. I found a used Browning Citori O/U in 16 gauge and I love it. In my opinion it is a much better gauge than any of the others.

Keep up your search they are out there and getting popular again so demand is currently ahead of supply.
