Most of us have such items which are needed during hunting, hiking and other outdoor activities. The list of such items could be limitless and only sky is the limit. Due to the diversity of such items / kits, it may be appropriate to share them here.

Here are pics of some of my collection :)

First the knives............

Image
This is Extrema Rratio combat / survival knife. A high quality knife, its made of 58 stainless cobalt steel and is made in Italy. Comes with its own sheath which is attached to the leg.

Image
Another view .........

Image
Benchmade AT7 multipurpose knife. Very sharp, it can be attached with the belt.

Image
The packing....................

Image
MTech survival knife in camouflage colour. Can be attached with the belt.

Image
Original packing.............

Image
Columbia AT12 knives in medium and small size. Very handy, very sharp and attachable with the belt.

Image
Another Columbia knife, but this one is made in China

Image
This is the set that I have carried for around a decade during my fishing trips and as you can see, has been extensively used. The bigger one is Jarwis Walker floating fillet knife with floating sheath, very handy while fishing in the boat. The other is Victorinox Fisherman multipurpose tool with its original leather sheath. My old companions :)

Image
Few Gerber multipurpose tools. The middle one is a special one, the 800 series pliers in large size.

Image
Another view.

Image
A folding digging tool that can be packed in a small size case. When unfolded, measures 2ft. A very handy tool in outdoor camps during hunting etc

Image
Fully unfolded

Image
Knee and elbow guards. Very handy item during hunting in rocks and during shooting on the ranges

Image
Torch is a very essential camping item. These two small torches are a real beauty. The smaller one is a Leatherman S3. Dont be fooled with its small size, on max output it can produce light almost equivalent to the head light of a motorbyke. The bigger one is a Chinese made but has the option of focusing the beam and is very very effective.

Image
Eating is an integral part of any outdoor event. Here is a multipurpose eating tool which contains a very sharp knife, a spoon, a fork and a bottle opener. Can be put in the sheath and attached with the belt. A very useful item.

Image
Exploded view

Image
Another eating tool. Separate knife, spoon and fork which are folding and very handy

Image
Another view

Image
A very handy stitching kit, which may be badly need in the field sometimes and may someone from big embarrassment  Includes buttons, needles, threads etc of various types. very small size

Hope to see some pics from the other members as well :)

Very nice collection of survival tools KBW and above all a quality writeup (as always).

I myself got this Chinese torch (takes 3 AAA batteries) and indeed, it is extremely effective.

The one on top:
Image

Came with a cover which can be put through one's belt and when set to full zoom in (x1) I was able to effectively light up and see park area (opposite my house) in pitch dark (load shedding) at exactly 50 meters (150 feet). Batteries used were Duracell.

I am on the lookout for some quality knives and I especially like the Extrema Ratio and Benchmade AT7 above. Will start a hunt for these after Eid Inshallah.

I am eagerly waiting for my new Digicam to arrive, expected within in 10 days after Eid, and will start taking and uploading pics myself too.

SA sahib, the Chinese torch is good one but has moderate durability in the field use. The Leatherman S3 is all steel body, very tough and has three levels of light setting. The highest is very strong, like the headlight of a good motorbike. :)

MR bhai, looted containers...............

SA bro, just talked to my cousin there. He said his contact can arrange two more (hmmm now why did I say more?!?) in the next couple of days. Maybe Shariq can pick them up!

Omer was in Jamrud and called me from there, so I thought 'naik kaam main dair nahin karni chahiyay'. Shariq 'should' pick both of them up and I'm sure he will.

The only thing I'm waiting to find out is which particular model did Omer pick for me.

A very comprehensive collection there KBW Sir.

I would like to discuss the items one should have for purpose of Survival Gear or Survival Kit and which one can keep in his car or in a bag for emergency purposes. I want to clarify here that I am not referring to a BOB (Bail out Bag) which would ofcourse include important documents such as passports, etc, but only tools/gears are the subject of my discussion.

Till now, I have been able to list down the following items and many of these I have already acquired, but some a still to purchase:

1> Bangi Cord - with hooks at both ends. It helps in holding things together.
2> A screwdriver set with some long ones with long handle preferably, can be put to several uses. Also included in it should be a tester.
3> Saw blade.
4> Plug paana.
5> Sand paper - useful in removing dust and rust from vehicle parts
6> Wire piece - can be used to connect / establish electric connection
7> Condoms - very useful to contain and store water in situations where container is not available.
8> Manual foot air pump - this is useful in giving life to a flat tyre.
9> Umbrella - preferably bright colored which can help others to see/locate you in crises / lost situations.
10> Piece of rope as well as full size long rope capable of pulling the car and other purposes.
11> Knives
12> Multi tool kit - such as the ones in KBW's pictures.
13> Jumper cables
14> Toe cable or toe chain rope - to pull your car.
15> Torch and head lamp - high quality with extra batteries.
16> Fire starter - a magnesium rod which if striked by any metal produces sparks.
17> Lighters. Those 20 rupee ones.
18> Folding Shovel.
19> Saw
20> Small Axe
21> Hammer
22> Jacket and rain coat (100% water proof with Hood)
23> Gloves to save your hands if car repairing needs to be done or other dirty work.
24> Air pillow
25> First Aid kit.
26> Sleeping bag

Would love to hear what other members think I am missing or have included unnecessarily in this list.

@Shooter
Bro, a very detailed list. But how will you carry all this?? I think you will need a big size bag. I think it will be better to have a priority (depending on the outing) and select the things as per that. Thanks :)
