is it the same procedure for transporting a sword or a blade? have any one transported a blade in past.

Sometime back at the entry of the airport I was stopped and asked if I was carrying a firearm prior to the scan with the antenna device, I answered "No" but asked him "what if I did" his reply was "then sir you are not allowed to proceed if a firearm will be found with the scanner you and me both will be scolded the only way to proceed is to leave your firearm with someone who will stand and wait for you here outside the airport" since I was in a queue I proceeded without asking any further question but it made me wonder if one can not enter in the airport under any circumstances with a firearm then how is he supposed to transport it as explained in this thread.

Isk bro what you were told is not applicable to travellers. Procedures for travellers is as described. Armed escorts or people accompanying the passengers are not allowed to go armed beyond a certain point.
As described earlier, travellers have to declare to ASF official near parking that they have licensed weapon in unloaded state. One of the official will then accompany him to deaprture lounge and hand him over to ASF staff there. Rest as described.
