Update: I've received my carry permit today. Foxhound1-Carry permits are issued for the licence and one can carry the weopon issued on it. Hence only licence number is inserted in the carry permit. Putting weapon number is not practiced by HD (Reconfirmed by their staff as well). Cheers!

He is not a dealer but a person who deals Home Department directly. Will pass his details on PM if he approves.

That makes sense too since we can endorse only single weapon on a license at a time and that makes it distinct, thanks for the confirmation.

To best of my knowledge, 3 months and 6 months can be issued by HD-Sind i.e. 3 months n 6 months.

I assumed we dont need carry permits for transporting shotguns but a friend was advised by arms branch staff to get one for his shotgun from HD which he ultimately did.

+1 HMR We don't need carry permits either for transporting or conceal carrying a licence weapon. We only need carry permits if/when section 144 imposed to transport or conceal carrying. However, keeping in view of the Govt. and police style, nobody knows when they impose 144 without prior notice, we should get the carry permits all the time with us. My 2 cents only...

The standard 144 permit validity is 30 to 90 days . Rest all fake produced by the home department computer section guy . He simply increases the time period by editing template !

What I have understood from the behaviour of LEA in Karachi is as follows.
--- They expect us to have a carry permit irrespective of the fact that gun may be in a unloaded state, away from easy access like in the trunk of the car. They do not or can not differentiate between conceal carry in a loaded state and transportation of an unloaded gun away from easy access whether 144 is imposed or not.

A letter which shows you have a valid license. and I assume [D.] letter call it say "collection" letter to show you have 3 valid documents issued.
