I'm giving heads up to those who wish to procure new licences.

HD licences can be obtained now though price vary from dealer to dealer and many are offering.

Best so far is 25K for pistol by Sheikh M. Latif and Sons..contact 35223669.

Still a ban on new license. No new notification or intimation to HD staff about it. May be in near future, ban may be lifted but no news at the moment. Dealers may be taking application in advance in anticaption of lifting of ban.

@HMR,
This could be true, I have shared the SMS but not recommended, even if the ban is lifted but still the offer is too high to accept.

BTW a HD staff has also offered that he can get new one issued but not discussed here. Best is to wait n see.

Home department guys kept on issuing manual or computerized books via agents or dealers despite the ban , I have seen and even got made for others during previous ban .
Even during this ban I got made one for my brothers friend (computerized one) .
But we should better avoid during these times (in) the licensee will have to suffer !

@NR bro
Dealers are well connected people and may get wind of new developments but it has happened in the past where people had to wait for months even after paying 25k for a Lic. We should wait for authentication of lifting of ban news before parting with our money.

Yesterday evening I submitted the verification form along with the 2 fotos, copy of CNIC, Utility bill and CNICS of 2 witnesses at Drig Road Police Station.
ASI Sarfaraz was very humble and co-operative. He didn't asked anything but was complaining that this is additional job and he has to make the fotocopies of forms and making calls from his own pocket :) for which I did compensate him for my his single call to me and a copy of from :D
Now, again we have to wait and see how long this process will take!!! He said that he got approx 250+ forms from DC office in his police station for verification but only 50+ people submitted the forms as of now.

Finally received my computerized book just now which was submitted to the Home Department back in January, 2014.

The process was quick and glad to see enhanced ammo limit as 200 as opposed to 50 on my previous licence.
