Nice photo. What is the distance? is it very close? Because I am confused that the bird in the center is focused while the other two who seem to be at same distance are out of focus.
best

uhmm yes they were quite far away they were shot at 600mm with f9 aperture, could have focused the other two as well with a bit more tweaking its called depth of field and you can control it a bit with how wide or narrow you keep your aperture and also how far apart are two different subjects in the frame, these birds were flying close to each other but at f9 only the centre one was in the area where lens was focusing if any of the other two birds were at the same distance they would have been sharp as well, hypothetically speaking if I was taking this shot at a larger aperture of say f2.8 or gulp f1.4 perhaps only a single body part of the bird might have been sharp but at about f22 the other two birds would have been sharp as well at this distance, hope I have not confused you
