What I can say is "WOW" I wish someone can give me gifts like this

The duck calls look very good. Hunting gloves are also nice and you will need them badly in duck shoots. But I am not much in fishing. What is the difference in these rods and reels because their shape is different?

Congratulations on the nice gifts.

The above items are of alien nature to me, and perhaps many others here who do not know much about fishing, and related gear. Would be really nice if you could provide a brief description of individual items, along with their photographs, for our ease of understanding...if not too much trouble. Thank you.

Cabela's Salt Striker is a surf rod designed for bait fishing and casting at longer distance which is specially for salt water (Salt water equipment are of high quality because different salts in water can lower the quality of gear). However it can be successfully used in big freshwater lakes for big game and long distance casting. I will be using this for mahaseer. Its has a cork tape grip and it is IM9 graphite.
Cabela's Fish eagle 2 is a 9 ft spinning rod which is light and flexible. Spinning rods are specially designed for fishing with artificial lure (but can also be used for bait fishing). It has a cork handle.

Daiwa Regal plus is a bait runner reel which is specially for bait fishing. Baitrunner reels allow the fish to take the bait without any tension on line and on pressing the bait runner clutch, the tension comes to line and the fish is hooked. It is excellent for using live baits like small fish.
Cabela's tournament ZX is a basic spinning reel. It is basically Daiwa Exceller which Daiwa has specially made for Cabelas. It has a very good drag.

The duck calls are used to attract ducks. The wooden one is for mallards and the plastic call is for teals, wigeon and similar duck which have a whistle voice and not quack voice. Duck shooter have to learn to blow these calls in the actual voice of ducks otherwise the ducks are not attracted.

@ Haider.
Take care of the Buck Knife.
I bought my first Buck Knife when I was 17 back in 1971.
It "IS" a Model 119 Bowie, and I still have it today, and have used it every year since using it to hunt, Backpack, and fish with.
My other one is the 110 Folding hunter, but I have only had that one for 18 years.
I wore out the first one by not taking care of it in 12 years.

Use them, but Dont Abuse them.
The Buck, IMO is one of the Best all around knives you can Buy, ( Or receive as a Gift )

Received these shoes as gift from my father for getting two medals in National Junior Shooting Championship. These are the best shoes I have ever seen :(

They are LaCrosse AlphaBurley Sport Rubber boots. They are 18" high upto my knees and are full water proof. Sole is very good.

Only problem is that they are too tight and I cant wear them comfortably. My brothers and father cant wear them also. :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead: :violence-shootself: :violence-shootself:

The fault is mine. While ordering, I just did not remember that American size are a bit smaller than the British sizes that we use in Pakistan. For such long shoes, it is advisable to get a size bigger. I ordered American #8 which is equal to British #7.5. I should have ordered American #9, atlease. Don't worry, you will get something new :ugeek:

These are excellent shoes. Too bad the sizes got mixed up. I'm sure there'll be several members here who'd love to get their hands on them. Are you planning to sell them?
