The idea was born in Owais Hassan's mind to get the membership of a proper shooting range other than Karsaz. We all were going to Arabian Sea Country Club since January 2014 but it was very far away, current road condition is very poor and even from Gulsitan e Jauher it was taking around 45 min to reach the range after a hectic n bumpy drive.
So back to the idea it was clicked in Ramadan, Me and Owais were talking about the Rangers Shooting Club checked out their brochures on net. We found that individual membership is costing 200k with 3000/month while Corporate membership is costing 160k with 2500/month per person as it allows 5 members.
Me and Owais thought if we can gather 5 persons and get a membership under the corporate head will be somewhat a good deal.
Couple of week back Me, SR, NR, Owais Hassan decided to take a tour of the facility. We were greeted very well warmly welcomed by the Range Supervisor and he gave us the tour of the facility, which included 25m Pistol Range, 10m Air Pistol/Rifle Range, 150, 300, 600m Rifle Range, Dining Hall, Tuck Shop.

We introduced him about our activities at The Gun forum at ASCCL and showed our interest in joining Rangers Club. The activities of Gun Forum also been briefed to them and proceeded further regarding the membership. After listening us they asked us to contact OIC of the facility (That is another long story which will be revealed in next post)

Now some pictorial highlights of the facility.

Initially 10 Members from TGF have submitted their forms for membership and inaugural range session is also done by two members yesterday.

Hope this initiative will benefit the forum and looking forward to see all of us there this Sunday.

Thank you Owais Hassan for the initiative and constant followup by Optimus. After experiencing first range session yesterday I personally felt comfortable bcoz of the overall environment, they actually treated us like guest, safety standards etc.

Rangers Shooting Club is by far a better Range vs. ASCCL on the basis of:

 Location
 Environment
 Safety Standards
 Variety of ranges - Indoor Air Pistol Range, Handgun Range with monitors, Rifle Range 100-640 meters, Skeet n trap.
 Availability of reasonably priced Ammo.
 Huge range of weapons on rental.
 Army standard cafeteria, rest room, dinning room etc.

On top of these points, two members from your family can use the facility on the same membership as associate member which is huge advantage and will help your kids start learning from the Air pistols under supervision of range staff while you enjoy your own sessions at the same time.

This looks like a far better option for Karachi members in all respect. Failure to observe safety instructions repeatedly and a non-professional attitude of the management make ASCC a slightly unsafe place to shoot.

Optimus, thanks for sharing all the details. And thanks to other members who have been involved in getting corporate package for TGF members. The monthly for this package is also lower, and at same par as Karsaz.
I believe this is an excellent venue for shooting. A bit expensive it might seem, but with all sorts of shooting facilities, and the fact that 2 family members can shoot for free, I like the overall package.
Now, who is availing this opportunity?

Excellent initiative. It is a much better option than ASCC or even Karsaz. There is another advantage too. No need of 144 permit with Range ID Card. Their members are not bothered by LEAs.

One question....Is membership transferable and saleable? Transferable to any family member?
