Without GOLF ?
Where I grew up in California.
The Navy Built a Golf Course next to the Naval air station.
Across the Freeway was the Naval Weapons Station, which was also a wildlife Preserve.
When we would be waiting for the School Bus in the mornings.
The Navy Comanders would go by in their golf carts playing Golf.
Then all of a sudden , they would pull shotguns out of their golf bags and start Blasting at the Pheasants and Ducks that had flown over from the Weapons station.
It gave a whole new meaning to shooting 18 holes in the morning.
The best game can be found on golf courses,
Do they allow hunting on the golf course ? LOL

We have a country club here which has a golf course, a recreational area, a shooting range, on rent huts and a swimming pool. The rates of Monthly fees and one time subscription fees would be different on the grounds of facilities which the prospective member would like to utilize. In our country since shooting has now picked up the pace gradually a few stand alone ranges have opened up plus now recreational clubs in order to boost up their membership sales are now starting shooting ranges.

I've been to this shooting range and it is good in terms of both precission and practical shooting. Not many ranges in my city offer facilties of precission shooting though. It is a 50 mins drive from my house and the area is not that safe in terms thugs and all. But for the love of sport...............

@ Furrukh.
I think you need to do some More shooting on your way TO the range and some more on your way home.
That might solve the THUG problem.

Trust me that a few range buddies have done the same............ These thugs come after you not only with handguns but with automatic rifles too....

It takes around 4 hours including commuting and Sunday is ruined. When I reach home my wife plays precission shooting with me, with me being the target. Lolzz

viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1555&start=0 for Arabian Sea country club, but I think adnan bro was asking for PAF Korangi range.

No, unfortunately, they don't.... and I doubt, if they ever will. Not unless you have a Lt. General or General attached to your name, then everything is possible.

I guess it's a global phenomena. I wonder what would have happened if a civilian would have done the same thing which the Navy Commander did...... there would have been an additional hole ..... in the civie. :D

Furrukh, it happens during the first three months (personal experience) and then they tend to just give up.

Its been over 7 months now. First it was the gun, then the frequent visits to Lucky Star, now the range sessions and the extended cleaning sessions. And now my 18 month daughter by mistake saw me cleaning the gun and dry firing once and has been pestering me since then "Baba gun, baba gun nice". To all this my wife says that she's jealous, lolzzz

Since the club house is now ready, you should bring your wife to the range whenever we plan a family range visit next. She can meet our better halves and maybe she'll make new friends. This way, you too, like some of us, can get your wife off your back while you're out having fun at the range.

@ Furrukh.
It is a good idea IMO
It takes away the mystery of something you have, or like, that she can see as her rival.
Then it is her choice, to support your hobby, or find an equil one of her own.

That usually turns out to be Jewelry. LOL

Our dear friend Saif is busy tomorrow since early morning in (quote)Family Time(unquote) and therefore it was decided to skip this Sunday's range visit. :(

Atiq sb, you are probably gonna have to consult with the ASCC shooting range management about that. Prior to this we had the range pretty much to ourselves and could do whatever we wanted over there, but now you will have to discuss with the management what you would like to do beforehand.

Plus the high covered area of the range can accomodate various styles of shooting at management's discretion.

@Atiq sb
It is doable, and I am sure management will agree (had a discussion with all concerned), but your plan would be required in advance, along with safety precautions/instructions, and the assurance that all shooters are properly briefed before the stint.

+1

Will thereafter, also need a detailed pre-session with the Range Officer so that the operational aspects are laid out and agreed with clarity and thoroughness well in advance.

@ Ateeq sb,

You may email Saif (with cc to me) your plans as mentioned by Saif above.
