It's good to know that you have started shooting with single hand. It will be difficult initially but with time, things will get better. Please do not put extra emphasis on improving your shoulder strength. Stance and finding natural point of aim is very important in single hand shooting, much more important than shooting with double hand. Keep your elbow tight and straight with no bend in it and be patient with results.

Just to be sure, check your master eye as well.

regards

@ Zain - Cheers mate ... :)

@ KBW - thank you Sir. So you suggest I should continue with single hand then? However, I would still want to at least get to a benchmark with double hand before I actively do single hand. Not sure if this is the best way to go about it or not...please advise...

Right eye is my master eye, test carried out on my first range visit and I feel I can shoot without closing the left eye. Alhamdulillah I can easily shift my focus from one eye to the other without any problems :)

Cheers...

I thought you have decided to shift to single hand shooting. It's up to you decided the benchmarks for double hand shooting but if you are serious about competition shooting, ultimately you will have to go to single hand. When, you are the best judge :)

FIRST TOPGUN GOLD MEDAL FOR TGF - 22nd JUNE 2014 @ KARSAAZ

By the grace of The Almighty, and guidance from seniors specially Sir KBW, I have managed to secure my first Gold in less than 5 months time. It has been a rollercoaster ride since I started in Feb 2014, had many bumps and ditches, not the best gear for the task at hand, but seniors were always there to give a push and a pat on the back as and when it was needed. I am a firm believer of achieving goals when dedicating myself to a task, and as they say "The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have", I need not say more :)

I would like to congratulate Saif bhai on his medal as well, and all the rest of the participants that made the event lively and a memorable day that I will never forget. One can never measure the pride in standing on the top, but should always look forward to the next step as live moves on.

:text-thankyouyellow: TGF :text-thankyouyellow:

Cheers :)

Firstly, sorry for being away for quite a while...
Well, I was suggested by Saif to keep shooting with both hands till at least the National Amateur Competition and once I have had a go on that, I can then focus completely on single hand. I think I will take that advise and keep practicing with both hands. I am also due to retire my CF-98 soon ;) and will have to get friends with the new Shadow...

Cheers...

NG, I am so happy for you. It's a great performance indeed and would have not been possible without the hardwork and single mindedness that you displayed over the past few months. Keep it up :text-bravo:

So, when are you collecting your Shadow ;)

Can anyone guide me on an old Diana Air Pistol - I think I can manage to get my hands on it temporarily but its lever is out of order (probably the spring is faulty). Should I pick it up and get it repaired? Will it be wise to practice with air pistol to improve results on big bore?

Cheers...

So when are you going to see the green light, and we going to see you shooting with that Shadow?

hahahaha...

Hopefully soon, InshaAllah. Looks like the timescale is around November time unless I go to ISB or someone is coming over to KHI.

Fingers crossed!
