@Optimus-I am just scanning the options in a limited budget of 90K but as per typical human physcology I am looking at a Beemer in Corolla's budget. Actually looking to get CZ tactical sports which seems impossible to get in this tight situation.

I really appreciate your gesture but will stick to my Chinese lady till I get my next gun. IMV one should always use his/her own gun as it stays with you.

@SS-Knowing 70% is the shooter but still some improvements can be brought on the results by using a better gun. Since I am at beginner level of shooting and a small improvement might motivate me to do better instead of giving up shooting. That's just a thought and please correct me if I am wrong.

Consider the CZ P07 Duty. I think you should be able to get it in this price. Good gun, very good trigger.

Flinch control is getting better.
Smaller Group size minus flyers.

Practice, practice and practice is needed.

I can see much improvement there NR. Keep practicing.

You might want to take this out of your mind that your problem is flinching. It looks more like a trigger control + tighter grip issue, but can not say for sure and will ask the seniors to look into it. You might also want to see the Shooters Wheel of Errors to quickly get a general idea of where the issue might lie. But, for now, the improvement is visible and the groups are getting tight as well. Keep practicing and soon you'll pin point the pattern.

Good shooting brother...

Cheers...

Thank you NG for the comments.
It is the encouragement which act like a catalyst in the improvement process and guidance by the seniors helps us overcoming errors/mistakes.

Thread has been cleaned of a discussion which should not have been started in the first place. It is acknowledged that the discussion was started in good intention of helping a fellow member but had turned into an argument which was not only embarrassing for few members but more importantly, had lost its educational value. It is hoped that all involved members will understand the spirit behind the action, which is a positive one and not intended at hurting anyone's feeling / embarrassing a fellow member. Members are also advised to understand that few things are better done at personal level instead of discussing them on the open forum. Thanks

ASCCL VISIT 14.06.2014

Visited Range with FK and Optimus to practice for the upcoming competition. Needless to say my results were nowhere close to them and posting the sessions for review:

Weapon: NP 42
Ammo: China Red Box
Distance: 15 Meter

First Two Strings of 5 rounds each-Both hands.
No Improvement at all vs. previous results.
Image

After these two strings we practiced Rapid Fire (5 Shots in 10 Seconds) and the result were .....
Image

There was an itch since long to try single hand just to see the outcome and the results were

Image

Conclusion:
Basics are always there in mind while shooting and in my personal view I should switch to single hand and should practice a lot.
Dry firing at home and on the range before live shooting will help improving (honestly speaking I was not doing it much).
Frequent range visit, will be visiting range once if not twice this week to overcome the weak areas especially flinch.

This was the day when I returned happily and will dedicate efforts for the improvement.

You can see "CP" on my results complimented by Optimus and hope everybody understands it.

Waiting for comments by the seniors.

Well NR you shot better with one hand. This was the first time single hand CP. A lot more to come. If you are feeling comfortable with one hand then go for it. Rest seniors can guide much better than me.

Range Visit 16.08.2014

Visited range on August 16, 2014 with my new toy CZ-75 B and after a little dry firing shot familiarization strings just to know the gun.
Distance: 10M
Ammo: China Red Box
Stance: Standing-Both hands

Image

After a little break got shot three strings under guidance of SA. Slight improvement as the bullets landed on the paper atleast.

Image

SA again dedicated himself for self improvement and will let the result speak.

@ NR, congrats on getting the CZ 75B. Its a great gun. A few suggestions from this novice, if you will :)
1. Keep this gun.
2. Be regular on the range.
The results will show in time.

3. Stop flinching for the f@#$ of it!!
pay close attention. read the first 2-3 pages of my shooting thread. This was a habit in my early days, and how I got over it is mentioned there.

Thanks SS and Saif Bhai for the comments. I always try to learn from the serious shooters and have gone this far by taking guidance from you.

As advised by Saif Bhai, I have taken fresh start from 10M and will try improving at this distance first. Will also run through related threads and the shooting thread of yours GH or self improvement.

Thank you.

Range Visit on 24.08.2014

Visited range with Optimus, NG and FK. Yes, FK also joined us but how we managed to get him is a separate story.

24th August was the day when I fired first from my beloved SP01-Shadow and it actually surpassed my expectation from 10M. Results of first three shots were as:

Image

Afterwards three more strings of 05 rounds each were shot from 15M with the following results:

Thanks SS, as most seniors says 70% is the shooter and 30% is the gun so now I have to focus on the improvement of 70% as 30% is achieved.

Good shooting. NR - You will need bit of time to adjust with this gun with respect to grip and most importantly trigger. So your results would IA would be even better due to this adjustment. This adjustment doesnt mean improving your shooting skills (only the feel and adapting to the new gun).

Probably you would have adjusted in your last session. It's a treat to shoot with this one and as seniors say it will spoil you
