HMR In my view it is a great performance. I know you worked very hard but couldn't do well on final day as it can happen with anyone. The fact of the matter is that you have acquired a skill that nobody can take away from you. Just stay the course and you will get many medals. Don't get distracted. Best wishes. My heartiest congrats to Glockism, Arsalan for giving an outstanding performance in the Nationals. I wish you guys all the best in coming competitions also It would be great if few pics and other details regarding matches, organisation etc are shared with the members.

Congratulations Azeem and Arsalan (as well as all others who secured positions). WELL DONE! It's so good to see more and more civilians joining the sport of competition shooting.

Thank you very much for the kind words sir. You have boosted my morale which was direly needed. National Shooting Championship was hosted by Navy at Karsaz Shooting Range. There were many events of pistol / rifle and Trap-Skeet. Two events which will be of interest to our members would be Big Bore amateur and professional category. Our members can participate as a member of respective province's rifle club. Glockism inspired range members to practice and compete as a Sindh Rifle club team members and they were able to win team Gold and Silver medals and an individual Silver in the competition. Each team consists of 3 players and a fourth member is allowed to participate for individual medal. Calibers allowed are from .32 to .45 and pistol or a revolver may be used. There is a limit of minimum 1000 gms trigger pull weight on the gun and in professional category only single hand hold is allowed. For amateur category, only those players are allowed to play who have not yet participated in any national level competition. Total of four, 5 shot strings are scored with 5 sighters in the beginning. Time for each string is 5 minutes. I think that any shooter who practices regularly with correct technique can win a medal in amateurs category. Shooters who can score 180/200 with single or both hand hold stand a very good chance of winning a gold medal.

That is not bad at all, considering a year's gap.
You have mastered pretty much everything there is to master, and practice will take you back to your throne...
Cheers...

Cheers... HMR is an awesome shooter NG. He has probably forgotten more about shooting than we would ever learn. His modesty is the only thing that surpasses his shooting skills. A lot of the "senior" members are on this position because of his on-ground training and tips.

FK and NG bro I am flattered but with the practise I put in, I should be at par with KBW sb, Saif and others which I am not. Hope to shoot at least as good as them someday.

Second target shot was to zero the gun. I was able to do it within 5 shots. Tried further two strings. Last string in sqaures was a 44/50, 5 in group which was a morale booster. 1st string ---- 8.5in 2nd -----------5in (44/50)

I have 4 range sessions under the belt now so there can be no excuses. It was single hand hold.

Well I can not comment on single handed shooting as I have yet to fire my first single handed shot down range. Having 4 sessions does not mean tighter groups IMPO. I think with the right mindset, a couple of sessions should be enough. I remember going through KBW's thread where he spend months and moths trying to figure out what he was doing wrong and the reason why he couldn't manage his par score. What I make out of his thread was the mindset Cheers...

HMR,
What would you say is a standard benchmark for an above average shooter, from 25M target in terms of group size in inches?
Is it 5inch group or would you say a 3inch group would be more appropriate?
